– From January to December 2021, the donations from the generous have
benefitted 8.5 million people worldwide. Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) implemented over
39,500 humanitarian programs in 46 countries, covering 399 cities 2,289 districts,
and 5,000 villages.
ACT's Global
Humanity Response Director Andi Noor Faradiba explained that the ACT’s
humanitarian programs reached beneficiaries in Indonesia’s neighboring countries
like Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
Several countries
in the Middle East have also regularly received assistance from Indonesia
through ACT, including Palestine, Syria, Turkey, and Yemen.
"In Africa,
on the other hand, the countries like Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Somalia, and Sudan have also received assistance from Indonesian generous donors,"
said Faradiba.
The charity of the
Indonesian people also reaches countries in Europe, including Bosnia - Herzegovina
which is located in the Balkans.
In Bosnia, ACT
distributed two tons of food packages and distributed Quran copies to hundreds
of people.
For Asia and
the Middle East, ACT’s humanitarian programs are in the form of Waqf Well
construction, food distribution, financial assistance, and winter aid
distribution.
In addition, ACT
helps the local Muslims in Africa by distributing Quran copies and prayer kits as well as
renovating mosques.
