ACTNews, JAKARTA – Limited source of food was the crucial problem in Ramadan last year. This condition has been worsened by the activity restrictions and decreasing economy. To solve those problems, Aksi Cepat Tanggap deployed the Humanity Food Truck to serve food for underprivileged people during Ramadan.

At the beginning of Ramadan, the Humanity Food Truck sailed to Galang Island, Batam, Riau Islands and served the ready-to-eat meals to paramedics at the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital. The paramedics' food need was supported by the Humanity Food Truck because they were the front liners to treat Covid-19 patients.

This action was appreciated by the Head of Riau Islands Tourism Office, Buralimar. “ I, as the Head of Tourism Office and on behalf of the Governor of Riau Islands, would like to thank ACT for providing free meals at Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in Galang Island,” said Bulimar. He is also one of the members of the Covid-19 Task Force in Riau Islands Province. ACT’s involvement in handling Covid-19 in Riau Islands was appreciated in the form of an award certificate.

Apart from Riau Islands, the Humanity Food Truck also visited people in various regions. This activity lasted until Eid al-Fitr.
