ACTNews, AMBON – In the last week of August, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) together with PT Astra Honda Motor, and the Board Committee of Al-Haqqul Mubin Mosque Jakarta distributed one thousand rice packages to santris (Muslim students) in Maluku. It was an effort to assist santris during the Covid-19 pandemic. The rice packages were then distributed to 10 Islamic boarding schools in Maluku.
“Hopefully, with this one thousand rice packages assistance, can assist santris fulfilling their daily needs amid the prolonged pandemic. We also thank the benefactors as well as PT Astra Honda Motor Jakarta for caring for the students in Maluku," said Wahab Loilatu, Branch Manager of ACT Maluku.
Maulana Syarif Nurjazaman from AHM representative hopes that the rice assistance for santris in Maluku can be put to good use, especially to support the education process of santris at boarding schools.
“Alhamdulillah, through this one thousand packages of rice for santris we can share happiness to the santris in Maluku. May we get blessings from this rice distribution,” he hoped.
Furthermore, assistance for santris is still very needed especially for those who study in remote areas of the country. Therefore, ACT invites Indonesian people to support more santris through their best donations.
