ACTNews, GAZA - Abdurrahman Alkharafeen's happiness increases this Ramadan. This man with six children received living allowance from generous Indonesians through the Sister Family Palestine-Indonesia program. Thanks to the program, Abdurrahman will be able to meet the needs of his family in the month of Ramadan.
The resident of northern Gaza Strip was touched by the generosity through the SFPI program. Before that, he had never received assistance from any institution. Sister Family Palestine-Indonesia has become a lifeline for Abdurrahman and his family.
The economic condition in Gaza has been unstable, making jobs difficult to find. Abdurrahman has been unemployed. For their daily meals, the family rely on assistance from relatives and neighbors.
"Alhamdulillah. Thank you ACT for your support. Yesterday, we were told that we will be provided with financial assistance. It can help cover our living costs,” he said.
Abdurrahman said that he would use the money to pay for the treatment of his son who suffers suffer from neurological diseases. His other children are also in school and need money. For him, his children's needs are a priority.
“I will use the money to pay for my children's education and buy food. As we all know, food is expensive here,” he added.
SFPI is one of ACT's strategic programs that bridge underprivileged Palestinian families with Indonesian families who wish to become donors. To donors who are interested in helping, ACT will provide profiles of Palestinian families so that the donors can see their condition. Since its launch in early February, many Indonesian families have channeled their assistance to help families in Palestine.
