ACTNews, TASIKMALAYA – Al-Falah Mosque is located in Pasirnagara Hamlet, Wandasari Village, Bojonggambir District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The mosque was built in 2010 with only a semi-permanent building. There has been no renovation since it was first established. Over time, the building has started to deteriorate.

The mosque is used not only for obligatory prayers but also other Islamic activities such as Quran learning and supererogatory prayers during the month of Ramadan. Sadly, the mosque is too small to accommodate all the worshippers as it is only 35m2 wide.

The worshippers have always been eager to renovate and expand the mosque. They have made a fundraising initiative for the renovation of the mosque. Yet, the money was not enough because many of the locals are daily workers with no steady income.

To help the renovation of Al-Falah Mosque, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Tasikmalaya Regency collaborated with partners including BTN Syariah Tasikmalaya. The renovation of the mosque has begun and is expected to finish in 20 days.

“BTN Syariah Tasikmalaya supports the reconstruction of Al-Falah Mosque through the provision of building materials. We hope that the residents of Pasirnagara will feel more comfortable worshipping at the mosque,” said Endra Kurniawan from BTN Syariah Tasikmalaya. He also hoped that further collaboration of kindness with ACT can continue in the future.

"With the support from the donors, we will continue to strive to bring the best not only for residents in the urban area but also in rural areas," said Fauzi.[]
