ACTNews, BANDUNG
– Still in the month of August that is usually filled with celebrations of
Indonesian independence, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Bandung volunteers support a
war veteran by buying up food from a food stall owned by a war veteran.
Djiman, a fighter during
the Indonesian War of Independence, has run the food stall since 1995 in Situsaeur
Village of Bojongloa Kidul District in Bandung City. His food stall has also
been severely affected by the pandemic.
When he found out
that ACT Bandung came to buy up his goods, he was very much grateful and happy.
He said thank you to ACT Bandung who has supported him.
"In these
difficult times, we channel the generosity of the community to various groups, including
the needy veterans," explained Husen Nurochman ACT Bandung Program Department
a few days ago.
The food bought
from Djiman’s stall was distributed to the veterans in Bandung Regency. In
addition, ACT Bandung also distributed staple food packages. []
