REGENCY – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia of
Bogor Branch provided food aid in the form of free Waqf Rice for hundreds of
residents who are currently undergoing self-quarantine in the District of
Rancabungur, Bogor Regency, Monday (2/21/2022).
The ACT Bogor
Branch symbolically handed over the free rice assistance to the District
Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) which was represented by the Head
of the Rancabungur District Dita Aprillia. The event that was held in the
Baiturrahman Grand Mosque was also attended by representatives from the Kemang
Koramil and Rancabungur Police.
Dita said that
currently there was an increase in COVID-19 cases. A total of 227 cases were
recorded, and 6 out of 7 villages in Rancabungur District were designated as
COVID-19 red zones. "There is only one village designated as an orange
zone," added Dita.
Therefore, Dita
welcomed the initiative made by ACT to carry out free rice distribution. "Thank
you for the good response from ACT, and we will deliver the rice to people who
are self-quarantining," said Dita.
Yegi Haryadi, on
behalf of the ACT Bogor branch, hoped that this collaboration can continue in
the future. "This is not the first time we have held a humanitarian
program in Rancabungur District. We have previously distributed staple food and
meal packages. We hope that this act of kindness can continue in the
future," said Yegi. []
