ACTNews, GARUT, SUKABUMI - A total of 100 flood victims in Kampung Cibera, Karyasari Village, Cibalong District, Garut, benefitted from free medical service given by Aksi Cepat Tanggap and Pameungpeuk Regional Hospital.
ACT Garut Branch Manager Mochammad Dani Ramdani reported that the free clinic took place on Monday (26/10) and Tuesday (10/27). ACT Garut has also opened a public kitchen to provide food aid to the flood victims.
"We have also opened a public kitchen since Sunday (10/25) which benefits up to 300 families every day. Insha Allah, this public kitchen will run until the end of October,” said Dani.
Food aid was also distributed to Pangaweran Village and Sukapura Village in Cisompet District.
In Sukabumi Regency, 200 food packages were distributed to flood victims in Cibuntu Hamlet, Pasawahan Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi, on Saturday (10/17). Dozens of school kits were also distributed to the local children on Wednesday (10/21).
Resdiana Pratama of ACT West Java’s Communication Department reported that the school kits were distributed because the flood had washed away their school supplies. “They had no school kits left. Even their notebooks were washed away by the flood that happened a month ago,” said Resdiana.
