ACTNews, JAKARTA – In supporting the vaccination program at Cilandak Indonesian Marine Corps, South Jakarta, ACT distributed 3,450 meal packages to healthcare workers and vaccine participants, Wednesday (7/6/2021).
The distribution was carried out at the Cilandak Indonesian Marine Corps Headquarters in South Jakarta in 6 days by using ACT’s Humanity Food Bus and Humanity Food Truck. The meal distribution was also helped by marine officers who managed not to make crowds and keep obeying the health protocols.
Muhammad Hoiruding from ACT Program Team explained that in distributing the delicious and nutritious meals during the vaccination event, the two vehicles took turns to come to the Cilandak Indonesian Marine Corps.
“Many people were happy to receive the meal packages. While waiting for their turns to be vaccinated, it was difficult for them to buy their lunch while it is required to eat when getting vaccinated,” said Hoirudin.

Apart from the vaccine participants, the meal packages were also distributed to surrounding residents and healthcare workers. One of the healthcare workers was Inggit Pamungkas (23) who said that the meal assistance was very beneficial to her since she hardly bought lunch when her work got busy.
“When there are a lot of participants who are in line to get vaccinated, it is quite burdensome for me to have lunch. Moreover, I also wear a hazmat suit which limits my mobility. Hence, thank you so much ACT. Hopefully, there will be meal package assistance again next time,” said Inggit.
