– This March, the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team in Palestine finished
renovating the house belonging to Mohammed Ismael Ibrahim Al-Hennawi in
Jabalia, North Gaza.
Said Mukaffiy from
ACT's Global Humanity Network team explained that the renovation took several
months. Ismael’s house initially only had only a simple floor and unpainted
walls. Parts of the house were riddled with holes. The condition of the house
was worsened by the military attack on Gaza in 2021.
The ACT Palestine
team also added pieces of furniture and appliances. They also install
electricity in the house.
"This
renovation is to help him endure the cold winter. We fixed the holes in the
walls and roof so that rainwater and wind cannot get into the house,” reported
Said.
ACT has renovated
a number of residential buildings in Gaza as a result of the military attack in
2021 that destroyed thousands of houses. []
