MALUKU – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Maluku and Nurussyifa Mosque at Ambon
Army Hospital donated rice to students and orphans in Central Maluku Regency,
Saturday (1/22/2022). Wahab Loilatu, ACT Maluku Branch Manager, said the rice
distribution is an effort to fulfill the food needs of the students and orphans
during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The aid was
distributed to students at the Al-Madinah Islamic Boarding School and the Al-Anshor
Islamic Boarding School in Liang Village, Salahutu District.
"We are grateful
to the members of the Nurussyifa Mosque of Ambon Army Hospital who have cared
for students and orphans in Maluku. Hopefully, this assistance will further
support the learning and Quran memorization of the students," said Wahab.
Ustaz Saiful, a
representative from Al-Anshor Islamic Boarding School, expressed his gratitude
to all benefactors. He revealed that the rice assistance was much needed by the
Islamic boarding school. In that school, students are often forced to eat
simple meals.
"When the
rice stock runs out and there are no more side dishes, the students eat plain
congee without side dishes. This assistance is a surprise for the students. May
Allah reward ACT and the donors," said Ustaz Saiful.
