– Commemorating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad which fell on Tuesday (10/19/2021),
Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and Badan Kontak Majelis Taklim (BKMT) of
Tanjungpinang City distributed food packages to orphans through the Free Food
Operation. The ceremony took place in Al-Hikmah Mosque.
Dozens of food
packages were distributed to orphans in Tanjungpinang. The Deputy Mayor of
Tanjungpinang, Rahma, warmly welcome the charitable event supported by the
donors’ generosity. In her speech, she invited the community to take part in ACT’s
humanitarian programs, especially because they aim at overcoming the impact of
the pandemic as well.
"Thank you, ACT and BKMT for holding this activity. The Free Food Operation is very useful
to help people with food difficulties in the midst of the pandemic," said
Rahma.
This event was
also attended by the Head of the Tanjungpinang Welfare Division, Ria, as well
as BKMT administrators from every district in Tanjungpinang. Chairperson of
BKMT Tanjungpinang Sulikah hoped that this ollaboration can continue.

Branch Manager Ilham Hafizd Rahman explained, Free Food Operation is ACT's
effort in overcoming the impact of the pandemic. This program was launched at
the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia.
“The support from
the generous donors is the driving force for this program of kindness. The
distributed food packages are a tangible manifestation of generosity,”
