ACT’s Humanitarian Vehicles Depart to Lumajang

Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) continues to carry out quick responses to Mount Semeru eruption in Lumajang. Tonight, the humanitarian vehicles and several teams will dispatch to provide the best service for the affected residents.

ACTNews, JAKARTA – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) will rush to dispatch its humanitarian vehicles to Lumajang to respond to the urgent need for survivors of the eruption of Mount Semeru. Tonight, ACT team has prepared several trucks from the Waqf Distribution Center, Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency.

Kusmayadi from ACT’s Emergency Response Team says the Humanity Food Truck, Humanity Food Bus, and two Humanity Water Tanks will depart tonight to Lumajang to provide the best humanitarian services for survivors.

"Survivors of the Semeru eruption urgently need ready-to-eat-meals and clean water,” he explained, Saturday (12/4/2021).


In addition to food and water vehicles, ACT will depart its ambulance to support medical assistance in evacuation areas. ACT has also prepared various medicines and medical teams to serve the survivors.

"Right now, the urgent needs are food, water, blankets, medicines, masks, tarpaulins or mats, food for babies, sanitary napkins, diapers, and oxygen cylinders," added Kusmayadi.

Until now, ACT team and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) volunteers in Malang, Lumajang, Jember, and cities around the eruption site continue to move to provide first aid for affected residents.[]
