ACTNews, TANGERANG
REGENCY – It was scorching hot, and an unpleasant smell came from the piles of
garbage at the Jatiwaringin Landfill. However, the heat and the pungent smell
did not stop Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT)’s Humanity Food Truck to distribute
hundreds of meal packages through the Free Meal Operation at Jatiwaringin
Landfill in Mauk District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, Wednesday (8/18/2021).
The meal package
distribution was warmly welcomed by the recipients. A total of 300 meal packages
were handed over to the beneficiaries that noon.
ACT's Humanity
Food Truck Coordinator Ryan Andriana Rachman said the meal distribution was
expected to help meet the food need of the people working at the landfill.
"Alhamdulillah,
we are very moved to see the happiness of the people who received the meal
packages. All this time, they only eat simple food because their income has
been decreasing,” said Ryan.
In addition to the Jatiwaringin landfill, meal package distribution also reached underprivileged communities and informal workers who find it difficult to meet their food needs. Ryan hoped the generous donors will always be able to support the food provision programs for the needy. []
