ACTNews, BOGOR – The commitment of ACT and MUI in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic and reviving the economic sector continues to be carried out through the National Movement (Gernas) of Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). One of the implemented programs was the vaccination event in Bogor City, West Java, Saturday (8/7/2021).
Director of Covid-19 Medical Careline Services, Dr. Arini Retno Palupi said that the vaccination program was an effort from ACT and MUI to assist the government in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 by distributing vaccines to the community.
According to Dr. To optimize the vaccine distribution, ACT deployed Humanity Medical Services team to assist the healthcare workers from Bogor Health Department. "Our team assists in the registration process, observing vaccine recipients, and providing ambulances in case there is an emergency after they were injected with the vaccine," explained Dr. Arini.
A total of 1,100 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines were distributed through the program. Chairman of Gernas MUI, Lukmanul Hakim, explained that the action could run smoothly thanks to the support from many parties. “Thank you to the Public Health Department, Indonesian National Police (Polri), and Indonesian National Military (TNI). Insha Allah, this will be our jariya alms. Hopefully, we will always be protected by Allah," said Lukman.
