ACTNews, JAKARTA – Aksi Cepat Tanggap introduced Humanity Rice Truck 2.0 in Menara 165, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Monday (7/26/2021). The new vehicle aims to provide innovative free rice service to the people in need.
The Rice Truck procurement was considering ACT’s role which often supports the community’s food needs, especially rice as the community's staple food. Rice distribution, which was usually done simply, can now be done in a more innovative way.
President of ACT, Ibnu Khajar said that ACT launched the Rice Truck 2.0 after previously launching Humanity Food Bus. ACT will continue to move and ensure that the distributed assistance is received by the beneficiaries.
Sutaryo from Global Wakaf-ACT Team says that Rice Truck 2.0 is an improvement from Rice Truck 1.0 which was launched earlier in 2019. The difference can be seen from the interior and exterior design with more capacity of the truck.
“The exterior look is clearly different. We put on hydraulic to ease the team in operating the truck. In addition, the available rice ATM on the left side is reduced. On the previous Rice Truck, there were 4 rice ATMs, this Rice Truck 2.0 only has 3 ATMs. We maximize the reduction for generators so that the placement can be neater. Previously, it was disorganized, so for this new vehicle we'll tidy it up by reducing the ATM” he explained.
Rice Truck 2.0 is equipped with a storeroom containing packaged rice of 5 kilograms and water. Unlike its predecessor, Rice Truck 2.0 is now able to accommodate up to 500 liters of water. The storeroom is installed to ease the distribution process when there are long queues in operation. The rice will be distributed directly to the beneficiaries.
“Rice Truck 2.0 can carry more rice. The previous Rice Truck only has 10 tons capacity while Rice Track 2.0 can carry up to 15 tons of rice. It is also equipped with upgraded rice ATMs that can be operated manually, with barcodes, or with card taps," explained Sutaryo.
