ACTNews, JAKARTA - For more than 15 years, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) has been serving the community by providing assistance amidst natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Established initially as a disaster response organization in 2005, ACT has transformed into a humanitarian institution that also focuses on dealing with the global humanitarian crises and the alleviation of poverty.
ACT’s biggest vision is to become a professional global humanitarian organization based on philanthropy and volunteerism of the global community to create a better world civilization. This vision is shown in the various humanitarian actions that this institution has carried out, reaching more than 50 million beneficiaries in Indonesia and 50 other countries, involving around 800,000 donors and 540,000 volunteers.
In line with its grand vision and its function as an organization trusted by the public, ACT’s new logo that was launched on Monday (9/28) expresses a set of new values that it embraces.
President of Aksi Cepat Tanggap Ibnu Khajar said that the ACT’s new logo does not mean that the organization is leaving behind its history. Rather, it is a rejuvenation and a reflection of the current time and age. Because a logo is the face of a brand, the values that it represents will continue to be held throughout its life.
“ACT’s new logo conveys the message that this institution aims to demonstrate the value of Rahmatan lil Alamin (Mercy to the Universe) which has been the institution’s main vision for the future, in line with the recent global condition. The logo represents ACT's determination to create a better civilization, not only in Indonesia, but also throughout the world. We want this new identity to demonstrate that ACT has been more innovative and modern, and shows ACT’s real presence and role in solving humanitarian crises around the world, "said Ibnu Khajar, President of Aksi Cepat Tanggap, during the launching of the new logo at Menara 165, Monday (9/28).
ACT’s new logo conveys the message that this institution aims to reflect the value of Rahmatan lil Alamin (Mercy to the Universe) which has been the institution’s main vision for the future, in line with the recent global condition.
There are 15 main values that the new logo aims to demonstrate: spreading blessings to the universe; fast, total, and complete actions; assisting the near and the far; bring everyone closer to the Creator; expanding benefits; strengthening collaboration; eradicating poverty; cherishing the spirit of volunteerism; supporting a generous nation; creating a better world civilization; acting faster; bringing the more to the less fortunate; saving humanity indiscriminately; adding alms, generate blessings; and loving sharing with others.
Aulia Ikhsan Fahdiat, ACT Creative Communication Director, added that the new logo was inspired by the institution’s enthusiasm and agility in responding to natural and social disasters as well as humanitarian crises. “The change of ACT’s logo into a more modern one brings fresh enthusiasm for ACT to act more massively and in an accelerate manner. The agility of this institution’s actions is reflected by the letters A, C, and T which are in italics. The closeness between each letter symbolizes togetherness and the closeness between every human being to their Creator, and the closeness between the benefactors, beneficiaries, and other elements of the society that contribute to a better civilization,” he explained.
Finally, by continuing to use the slogan "care for humanity", it indicates that the transformation of the logo does not dampen the sympathy and humility of all ACT personnel in contributing to the global community. Placed at the bottom of the logo, the slogan aims to represent a humble nature.
Hopefully, with the new logo, ACT’s grand vision will be realized, and it not only reflects the long journey of this humanitarian institution but also the mandate to dedicate all experience and knowledge as a non-governmental organization that prioritizes humanity and spread benefits.
