ACTNews, BEKASI REGENCY – The Covid-19 pandemic that has been going on for more than a year in Indonesia has overwhelmed the healthcare workers due to the surging Covid-19 daily cases.
To support the struggle of healthcare workers who tirelessly provide medical services for the community, on Friday (7/23/2021), ACT carried out Free Meal Operation for healthcare workers at the Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) Cabangbungin, Bekasi Regency. The hospital is one of the Covid-19 referral hospitals in Bekasi Regency.
Coordinator of RSUD Cabangbungin Bekasi Regency, Dr. Angga said that the Free Meal Operation was a form of ACT's effort and eagerness to support the struggle of healthcare workers amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are very grateful for the meal package assistance. Later, we will distribute the packages to other healthcare workers, security, and cleaning service workers in RSUD Cabangbungin,” said Dr. Angga, Friday (7/23/2021).
A number of 300 meal packages were served by ACT’s Humanity Food Truck. The joy of the healthcare workers were seen when they received the meals, although their faces were covered by masks and hazmat suits.
Setyo Pambudi from ACT Bekasi Regency Program Implementer Team expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers for their struggle in handling patients amid the Covid-19 pandemic. "The risk of contracting the virus for healthcare workers is very high, but it doesn't dampen their spirit. The Free Meal Operation is a way to strengthen their struggle,” said Setyo.
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the generous benefactors, Free Meal Operation can be carried out smoothly. Hopefully, we can expand the benefits of these free meals,” added Setyo.
