ACTNews, GAZA – There are still many things to do to help the recovery of Gaza because almost everything in Gaza requires recovery. Several best waqf programs are carried out by Global Wakaf-ACT to recover life in Gaza.
Firdaus Guritno from ACT’s Global Humanity Response explains that several waqf programs have been carried out as efforts to recover Gaza including Productive Business Waqf, Productive Livestock Waqf, House Waqf, Lumbung Air Wakaf for Palestine, and Waqf Fishing Boats for Palestine.
“These waqf programs are provided to help the acceleration of Gaza recovery. Therefore, we want to invite as many benefactors as possible to synergize in these kindness programs,” said Firdaus, Saturday (6/19/2021).

After the latest major aggression, for the time being, Israel has banned any kind of fishing in the Gaza strip. Over the years, various restrictions have been set on the fishing zones, disrupting the livelihoods of around 5,000 fishermen and other fishing-related workers.
The difficulties are faced not only by fishermen but also by farmers. They are not allowed to farm in the buffer zone set by Israel which is 1.5 kilometers wide along the border side of Gaza. These restrictions have resulted in the production loss of up to 75,000 tons of food products within a year.
In response to the situation, several empowerment programs are being prepared by Global Wakaf-ACT to help the recovery of the economic sector in Gaza. “Currently, we have started to carry out several economic empowerment programs such as Productive Business Waqf, Productive Livestock Waqf, House Waqf, Lumbung Air Wakaf, and Waqf Fishing Boat for Palestine,” explained Firdaus Guritno from ACT’s Global Humanity Response.
