ACT Supports Hundreds of Thousands Palestinians in the Last Five Months

From May 1 to September 22, 2021, hundreds of humanitarian programs have been intensified to help hundreds of thousands of Palestinians both in Gaza and the West Bank.

ACTNews, PALESTINE – From May 1 to September 22, 2021, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have benefitted from the generosity of the people of Indonesia. It manifested in the form of aid programs, including food and clean water distribution.

 In total, more than 180,000 Gazans received clean water assistance through Waqf Wells, Humanity Water Tanks, and Waqf Drinking Water. In addition, 101,000 people in Gaza have benefitted from staple food distribution.

"We are trying to increase the number of recipients as our humanitarian programs in Palestine will continue," reported Said Mukaffiy from Aksi Cepat Tanggap's Global Humanity Response, Wednesday (9/22/2021).

He added that the Palestinian beneficiaries have also received meal packages from both the Humanity Food Truck and Indonesian Public Kitchens in Gaza and the West Bank. A total of 83,906 beneficiaries have savored the meal packages prepared by the ACT team in Palestine.

"We also provided medical assistance through the ambulance service that has benefitted 60,914 patients. Meanwhile for the operation of five clinics in Gaza has provided free treatments and medicines for 10 thousand patients," said Said.

Said added that the long-term aid programs from Global Wakaf-ACT also such as business capital waqf for Palestinian farmers and the provision of tuktuks for Gazan residents have helped rebuild the economy in Gaza in the aftermath of the military aggression. []
