ACTNews, GAZA – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) continues to support the Palestinians in Gaza whose houses have been destroyed by the military aggression in May 2021. Recently, ACT finished the renovation of the house belonging to the Abu Rebai Family in Gaza.
The modest house is located in the village of Al-Badaweyya, North Gaza. It was partially damaged by the Israeli attack in May 2021.
The renovation began in late 2021. Said Mukaffiy of ACT’s Global Humanity Response said the renovation included not only the damaged part of the house but also other rooms that were not hit by the attack, including the bedroom and kitchen.
"Alhamdulillah, the renovation process was completed in mid-January. Thanks to Generous Friends, the house that belongs to Ashraf Ali Joma Abu Rebai was able to be renovated. The walls and roofs that were leaking have been repaired. The walls have also been repainted. We also installed ceramic tiles for the floor,” reported Said, Sunday (1/23/2022).

Ashraf Abu Rebai, the patriarch of the family. expressed his thankfulness to Indonesian donors and ACT for the assistance that they received. He and his nine family members can now live more comfortably especially as the winter reaches its peak.
"Thank you, Indonesian people, who always support the struggle of the Palestinians. May your lives be filled with blessings," Ashraf prayed.
During the 11-day Israeli aggression last May, 16,800 residential houses in Gaza residents were damaged. 1,800 of them were badly damaged and no longer habitable.
