ACTNews, JAKARTA - This February, Aksi Cepat Tanggap will open a representative office in Gaza, Palestine. The office will be located in the Alminaa region, West Gaza, an area considered a green zone for international NGO offices.

The opening of ACT’s office in Gaza aims to further support the humanitarian programs that have been carried out for years. Head of ACT's Global Philanthropy Network Karina Yusmaniar explained that the representative office was a form of ACT's totality in assisting the beneficiaries in Gaza.

"Insha Allah, with the presence of ACT’s office in Palestine will further maximize our humanitarian actions, strengthen trust, and strengthen our previous programs such as the Humanity Water Tank, the Sister Family Palestine Indonesia, and the House Waqf for Palestinian families," said Karina, Thursday (2/18/2021).

The ACT office in Gaza is currently being renovated before its official opening. The ACT office in Gaza will also be assisted by global volunteers and ACT partners.

"Alhamdulillah, we have appointed one person to be the head of the representative office. She’s a Gazan resident, who has many years of experience in the humanitarian field,” explained Karin.

The ACT representative office in Gaza will be ceremonially inaugurated by the end of February. The ACT team in Gaza will also invite a number of local figures in the inauguration. During the ceremony, ACT will also broadcast the latest conditions in Gaza through Aksi Cepat Tanggap's social media channels. []
