ACTNews, GAZA – The new school academic year will begin at the end of August in Gaza, Palestine. Students from elementary to high school are getting ready to get back to school.

To enhance the learning spirit of the Gazan children in welcoming the new academic year, ACT Palestine team in Gaza carried out a coloring activity for kindergarten students in Gaza City. They enthusiastically colored the logo of ACT by coloring pencils and crayons.

“This activity endeavors to enhance the learning spirit of kindergarten students in Gaza in the new academic year,” said the Branch Manager of ACT Palestine, Tahany Ahmed Qasim, Wednesday (8/4/2021).

The participants also received school equipment as a gift once they finished coloring the logo. Tahany hopes the equipment can be beneficial for the students to learn in the new academic year.

“This is just our small effort to encourage the Gazan children to stay in school despite being under the shadow of Israeli occupation. In addition to this activity, we are also procuring a school bus to shuttle them to their schools since some students have to walk quite a distance to reach the nearest educational facility. For each trip, the bus will be able to pick up around 50 students," explained Tahany.[]
