ACTNews, KAYSERI - Another aid distribution reached the Uighur communities in Kayseri. Recently, packages of warm clothes and charcoal were distributed to Uighur families and orphaned children.

Firdaus Guritno from the Global Humanity Response - Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) reported that the aid distribution was the result of collaboration with MVM Malaysia.  "The distribution took place from January 21 to 28. There were 10 tons of fuel for 100 families and 250 winter aid packages for children," said Firdaus, Tuesday (2/2/2021). This winter aid distribution further strengthen the support from the International community for ACT’s humanitarian programs

This winter, the Uighur communities in Turkey do not have enough income to buy basic necessities. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the Turkish government has increasingly restricted community activities.  There are no active jobs during the pandemic, making it difficult for the already impoverished Uighur communities to make a living.
