ACTNews, SUKABUMI – The holy month of Ramadan synonymous with abundant donations. Many people compete to donate their wealth or money in this blessed month. Islamic boarding schools have also become one of the benefactors in this blessed month.
However, different from most Islamic boarding schools, Al-Ansor Islamic Boarding School, Ciloma Village, Cibitung District, Sukabumi Regency, is still lacking support. Al- Ansor Islamic boarding school can only be accessed by boat. Because of this condition, the school does not receive any donations when Ramadan arrives.
“There are no donations,” said Syamsuddin, caretaker of the Al Ansor Islamic boarding school. None of the community contributed to this school. According to Syamsuddin, the reason is because the residents around the Islamic boarding school are already having a hard time meeting their daily needs.
Even though the contributions were limited, the activities in the Al Ansor Islamic boarding school during Ramadan are still busy. The students usually recite Al-Qur’an and break the fast together, Ramadan camp is also held, and the local residents also participate in tarawih prayer.
“Tarawih prayers are usually packed. The mosque is usually full in Ramadan, “ added Syamsuddin.
Aksi Cepat Tanggap Sukabumi's Head of Program Department Resdiana, who came directly to observe the conditions of the Al Ansor Islamic boarding school, explained that ACT tried to support Al Ansor Islamic boarding school. Apart from difficult access to the school, the students’ dormitories are far from decent. “ Hopefully, before Ramadan, there will be an abundant blessing so that the students and teachers in Al Ansor Islamic boarding school can spend this Ramadan in a better condition. The generous friends can directly contact ACT Sukabumi or donate the best alms through Indonesia Dermawan Sukabumi website,” hoped Resdi.
