ACTNews, PEKALONGAN - As many as 47 teachers in Pekalongan Regency received the financial assistance from Global Zakat-ACT’s Friends of Indonesian Teachers (SGI) program. The handover ceremony took place at North Pekalongan Subdistrict Hall on Thursday (2/13).
Adinda Fiqih Damayanti from the ACT Tegal Program Team said, the SGI program was a form of appreciation from ACT for Indonesian teachers who have not yet get a decent income. "This program aims not only to support teachers. Through this program, we hope that teachers can become drive generosity within their environment," Adinda said. Adinda hoped that more economically underprivileged teachers will be assisted through the SGI program.
The handover ceremony was also attended by Kampung Dongen community of Pekalongan. They came to give motivational speeches for the beneficiary teachers, especially Pre-school and Kindergarten teachers.
