Bintan Has First Waqf Well and Sanitation Facilities

Construction of the first Waqf Well complete with toilets in Bintan, Riau, has been completed. This well will meet the needs of clean water for hundreds of residents.

ACTNews, BINTAN – Saturday (9//18/2021), Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Riau Islands and Tanjung Pinang and volunteers from Masyrakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) held an inauguration of Waqf Well in Sumber Pendidikan Mental Agama Allah Islamic Boarding School (SPMMA) Bintan Regency. This Waqf Well was the first well built in Bintan Regency.

The inauguration ceremony was held at SPMAA Islamic Boarding School in Taman Sari, Gang Melur, Lancang Kuning Village, North Bintan District. Datuk Huzrin Hood, the Regent of Bintan for the 2001-2003 Period, Triadi, Secretary of the North Bintan Secretariat, parents, and other village officials, attended the inauguration ceremony.

Alhamdulillah, we have completed the construction of one bore well, two toilets, an ablution place, and a pond containing 600 Tilapia fish from Generous Friends. In the future, we will also inaugurate the construction of a mosque around the Islamic boarding school. The deadline is December 2021. The deadline is December 2021. The construction of this Waqf Well began in early August 2021. Residents and volunteers from MRI Bintan helped the construction of this Waqf Well. Once officially used, the Waqf Well can reach 800 beneficiaries from 250 families.

Toni, an administrator of SPMAA Islamic Boarding School, expressed his gratitude for the Waqf Well and its sanitation facilities. He hopes this assistance will become a good deed for everyone who helps.

Riau Islands community leader Huzrin Hood also expressed his pleasure at being involved in this activity. He hopes that many people will donate to make many Waqf Wells.
