Bringing Happiness to Muara Kaman Through Iftar

In Rantau Hepang Village, Kutai Kartanegara, impoverished people, orphans, and Quran teachers received 150 ready-to-eat meals and 400 takjil packages.

ACTNews, KUTAI KARTANEGARA –Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) in East Kalimantan directly delivered the iftar packages to remote areas of East Kalimantan, precisely in Rantau Hempang Village, Muara Kaman District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The team traveled approximately six hours from the ACT East Kalimantan Office in Balikpapan City to the distribution location on Saturday (4/16/2022).

“We distributed 150 ready-to-eat food packages and 400 takjil packages to residents. Most of them were impoverished residents, orphans, and also Quran teachers. Alhamdulillah, the residents were enthusiastic about this iftar package,” said Budi Cahyanto from the ACT East Kalimantan Program Team.

In East Kalimantan, ACT and MRI teams gave 100 Quran copies to students and Eid packages for nine preachers. There were also competitions such as the call to prayer, quizzes, and performing ablution for the children of the Quran Learning Center.

As the Head of Rantau Hempang Village, Ismansyah expressed his gratitude to ACT for reactivating Islamic activities in his village, particularly at Al-Waasi Mosque. "Hopefully, this positive attitude will continue. Thank you to the donors who have generously shared their fortunes with us in rural areas," Budi remarked. []
