ACTNews, TASIKMALAYA - Yeni believes there is
always hope. Last October, Azwa Ramadani, Yeni's daughter who suffered from a
digestive organ disorder, began receiving medical assistance from Aksi Cepat
Tanggap Tasikmalaya’s Mobile Social Rescue program. Azwa underwent surgery to treat
her illness at Margono Soekarjo Hospital. Now, Azwa is fully healed.
After the successful medical assistance
for Azwa, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Tasikmalaya provided another assistance to
Yeni by giving cooking utensils and raw materials for Yeni’s tofu cracker
production, Wednesday (2/11/2021).
“Ms Yeni’s tofu cracker business started
small. It grew over time, and now she needs more adequate cooking utensils.
Hence, we provided her with new cooking utensils and raw materials to further
support her business. So far, her business has been hampered by the lack of
capital,” said Fauzi Ridwan from the ACT Tasikmalaya Program Department.
Besides tofu crackers, Yeni also produces
ladu, a traditional West Javanese food made from sticky rice. Although the
production capacity is still small, it is at least enough to make ends meet.
"We are very grateful. After helping
us with my daughter’s treatments, now the generous donors helped us again by
providing business assistance. We are truly grateful, ”said Yeni, touched. []
