CITY – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) continues holding the Cheap Food Operation
in various Indonesian regions as an effort to mitigate the soaring food prices.
This week, the
Cheap Food Operation was conducted in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. Through
ACT Kendari, as many as 140 staple food packages were sold to families in need
at a half-price.
“Alhamdulillah, the
Cheap Food Operation was met with enthusiasm and gratitude from the locals.
They are very grateful for the affordable food packages,” said Hasbullah from
Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Kendari Program Department when contacted by ACTNews,
Thursday (11/18/2021).
Hasbullah
explained, the Cheap Food Operation was held at four locations: Kambu Village
in Kambu District, Punggaloba Village in West Kendari District, Lapulu Village
in Abeli District, and Lalodati Village in Puuwatu District.
“They bought food
packages at a half-price. Insha Allah, the Cheap Food Operation that has been
carried out in these four districts will be a blessing and an act of charity
for all of us," added Hasbullah.[]
