ACTNews, TASIKMALAYA – For 12, years, Arrahman Mosque in Cibuntu, Taraju District, Tasikmalaya Regency, has stood. Over time, the semi-permanent mosque has dilapidated. Nevertheless, it was still used as a center for religious activities in the village.
Physically, the mosque’s walls were made of glass fiber reinforced concrete and the roofs were asbestos sheets. The mosque lacked adequate facilities and religious teachers needed to deliver lessons in the weekly Islamic class.
The villagers have been working to have a better mosque. They worked together and raised funds for the renovation of their beloved mosque. Sadly, due to the locals’ low economic condition, the mosque never underwent major renovations.
