ACTNews, TANGERANG REGENCY - Who would have thought that in the ongoing rainy
season, there are still a number people in Tangerang Regency still have to
suffer from lack of clean water. In Sukadiri District of Tangerang Regency, the
ground water has been contaminated with sea water, making it unfit for
consumption.
Aksi Cepat
Tanggap Greater Tangerang responds to this problem by deploying the Humanity
Water Tank on Friday (12/25). The truck came to Kampung Rawa Pisangan, Karang
Serang Village, Sukadiri District. Rodi Mardianto of ACT Greater Tangerang Raya
Program Team explained that the clean water distribution reached 200 people in
Sukadiri District. Rodi hoped that, with the support from the generous
benefactors, Humanity Water Tank can continue delivering clean water assistance
regularly to more villages in Sukadiri district.
"According
to the locals, to meet their need for drinkable water, the residents have to
buy it for IDR 7,000 for six jerry cans of clean water. This clean water
assistance will help them save on water expenses this week," said Rodi.
Yuni, one of the
residents of RT 05 Kampung Rawa Pisangan expressed her gratefulness. According
to her, it’s been quite burdensome for her and other residents to buy drinikg
water. "We are grateful for this assistance, I hope the goodness will
return to the donors," she said.
