
ACTNews, TASIKMALAYA - Babakan Ciwit Hamlet in Rancapaku Village,
Padakembang District, Tasikmalaya Regency is one of the areas that always
experiences drought during the dry season. Sometimes it even happens in December,
a month when rain usually falls quite frequently.
“As Allah wills
it, it hasn't been raining two weeks. Some of the springs have started to
recede. Usually when the springs recede, the water in wells will also change
color and its amount will decrease," said Maskun Gunawan, one of the heads
of the Neighborhood Associations (RT) in Babakan Ciwit Hamlet, Thursday (12/10).
Local residents usually draw water from a water source located one kilometer
away from the hamlet.

from Global Wakaf – ACT Tasikmalaya Program Department said, to help the
residents there, Global Wakaf was building the Waqf Well along with some public
toilets the MCK. "Alhamdulillah, we began construction on Tuesday (12/8). This
is the eleventh communal Waqf Well to be constructed and it is scheduled to be
completed within the next two weeks," said Fauzi.
The residents
expressed their gratitude. They are very grateful to have a reliable source of
water in their neighborhood. "The happiness of the local residents was
indescribable. They prayed for the waqf endowers who have funded the
construction of the well," he concluded. []
