ACTNews, MAGELANG – In the second week of Ramadan, ACT continues to expand the generosity of the people who support Ramadan Food Alms Movement. This movement has reached various areas, including Magelang. Waqf Rice and Waqf Drinking Water are the main products that are distributed to the community.
A total of 552 boxes of Waqf Drinking Water and 1.3 tons of Waqf Rice have been distributed to more than 13 million people in several districts in Magelang to Temanggung. This movement continues to expand in collaboration with several parties.
One of the parties supporting the Ramadan Food Alms Movement in Magelang is the Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UNIMMA) students. On Tuesday (4/27/2021), apart from giving alms, they also directly distributed food packages to underprivileged people. The main targets were the elderly in Sawangan District, Magelang Regency.
“This is the first action that we have done with ACT Magelang. Hopefully, it will be a good start to bring benefits to the community,” hoped Aji, one of the UNIMMA students.
UNIMMA students with ACT also did social service by cleaning the front yard of the elderlies' houses. They also served iftar meals to them.
The branch manager of ACT Magelang, Giyanto said with the presence of a branch office in Magelang, ACT would strengthen the synergy with various parties in Magelang and its surroundings. Especially in Ramadan amid the pandemic, actions of kindness will continue to be intensified.
"Since the inauguration of the ACT Magelang Branch Office, we have tried to embrace various parties to organize and intensify acts of kindness," explained Giyanto.
Giyanto added ACT Magelang would open opportunities for any party to collaborate to provide the best services for the community. The best alms can be delivered directly to the ACT Magelang Branch Office at Ruko Diponegoro Square Cacaban, Central Magelang, Magelang City, or be transferred to BNI account at 991 000 182 in the name of Aksi Cepat Tanggap.
