Children and mothers on Kangean Island, Sumenep Regency, benefited from Quran Waqf. They require new Quran copies because some of the old manuscripts are worn and torn, and many letters are illegible.

ACTNews, SUMENEP – Global Wakaf-ACT provided the Quran Waqf to two religious education institutions on Kangean Island, Sumenep Regency, East Java. On Tuesday (2/8/2022) and Wednesday (2/9/2022), the Quran Waqf program targeted Al Ihsan Orphans & Poor Islamic Boarding School and As Sholeha Islamic School.

"They have been in desperate need of new Quran copies for a long time, Alhamdulillah, because some of the old Qurans are worn, torn, and many letters are illegible. Insha Allah, every recitation of the holy verse read by the students can become a donation to Generous Friends," Engga Dito, the ACT East Java Program Coordinator, stated.

This time, the distributed Quran was the Ottoman version. This version of the Quran has big letters, making it easier for children and the elderly to read and comprehend the Quran.

The beneficiaries warmly welcomed the Quran Waqf. Ustaz Mustofa, a teacher at the Al Ihsan Orphans and Poor Islamic Boarding School, was grateful for this aid. Al Ihsan Orphans & Poor Islamic Boarding School is an Islamic boarding school that assists orphans, impoverished people and abandoned children in studying religion and memorizing the Quran.

"Thank you to the Generous Friends who have donated many Quran copies for the students. May it become a blessing, may alms be extended, and may generous friends always be under Allah’s protection," Ustaz Mustofa prayed.

The students and preachers at Madrasah Ibu As Sholeha said the same thing. "Alhamdulillah, thank you to the benefactors and Aksi Cepat Tanggap for providing new Quran copies for the mothers here. We are also pleased because the Quran is written in large letters, which will make it easier for mothers here to learn to read the Quran," Ustazah Yunindar, a preacher from Madrasah Ibu As Sholeha, explained.
