Early April, Ramadan Food Alms Movement Reaches 96,199 Beneficiaries

From April 5 to 18, Ramadan Food Alms Movement has distributed 31,3 tons of waqf rice, almost 8,000 boxes of drinking water to more than 96,199 people.

ACTNews, JAKARTA The Ramadan Food Alms Movement is still massively going on in various regions in Indonesia. From April 5 to 18, a total of 31,3 tons of waqf rice, and almost 8,000 cartons of drinking water have been distributed to 96,199 beneficiaries.

The coordinator of Waqf Distribution Center Pungki Martha said, this achievement of Ramadan Food Alms Movement (GSPR) is the result of the hard work from so many parties. Indonesian people as generous friends, partners, and the volunteers all have big contributions within this movement.

“So far, the total number of Ramadan Food Alms Movement beneficiaries are 10,118 families or 96,199 people. The assistance was distributed by 96 branches of ACT in all around Indonesia. Meanwhile, the total number of volunteers involved are 2,811 people who are part of Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia,” explained Pungki.

Pungki hoped the movement could get continuous support from Indonesian people. As of now, Aksi Cepat Tanggap is still taking care of the food alms from the benefactors in the Waqf Distribution Center Gunung in Putri, Bogor, and Jombang, East Java.[]
