Electrical Material Assistance from Benefactors Support the Largest Hospital in Gaza

The assistance consisting of electrical equipment and materials for Al-Shifa Medical Complex aims to increase the capacity and electricity infrastructure.

ACTNews, PALESTINE — Aksi Cepat Tanggap distributed electrical equipment and materials from the generosity of the Indonesian benefactors to Al Shifa Medical Complex, Gaza, Palestine, from March 22 to 25. In this complex, there is Al Shifa Hospital as the largest medical facility in the Gaza strip.

Said Mukaffiy from Global Humanity Response-ACT team explained that the electricity assistance aimed to increase the capacity of the electricity in Al Shifa Hospital complex. ”Assistance also increases the electricity grid and solar panel capacity in Al Shifa Hospital, especially for the most vital departments such as ICU, Neonatal ICU, Cardiac ICU, and ER,” said Mukaffiy, Monday (3/29/2021).

Al Shifa Hospital is at the forefront of health care in the Gaza strip. It treats 500,000 patients per year, including referral patients from all over Gaza region. More than 70 percent of patients who suffer from injuries as a result of aggression in Gaza Strip are treated at this hospital. Al Shifa hospital has medical personnel and complete facilities such as specialist doctors, medical equipment, and rooms.[]
