ACTNews, SYRIA– Like other communities in the Muslim world, the Syrians are welcoming the month of Ramadan joyfully. Sadly, their country is still ravaged by civil war that has led to the increase in the prices of basic necessities.
Because of this, the Syrian Internally Displaced People (IDP) and refugees have been having difficulties obtaining staple food ahead of the holy month.
In the spirit of spreading actions of kindness without limits in the upcoming Ramadan, Aksi Cepat Tanggap will deliver aid packages to Syrian IDP and refugees affected by the conflict. Said Mukaffiy of Aksi Cepat Tanggap’s Global Humanity Response said that ACT’s Ramadan programs will target six million Syrian refugees and IDP.
"We will focus on fulfilling the need for food and religious facilities among millions of Syrians. Insha Allah, the Humanity Food Truck will provide iftar packages for Syrians during Ramadan. We will also build waqf wells for mosques and distribute carpets and Quran copies, hold Islamic classes in Ramadan, hand over new clothes and Eid gifts," mentioned Said, Thursday (3/25/2021).
The special iftar
packages from the Humanity Food Truck will reach 20,000 people for a whole
month. Staple food packages will also be given to 1,000 underprivileged families
in Syria. The contents of each package will be flour, pasta, sugar, macaroni,
nuts, olive oil, cooking oil, and others.
Before Eid Al-Fitr, 2,000 sets of new clothes will be given to Syrian children. In addition, they will also receive 1,000 Quran copies to support their worship during Ramadan.
"The distribution of assistance to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Syria can only be maximized with the help of Indonesian benefactors. The month of Ramadan will be a special month because the rewards from Allah will be multiplied. Therefore, let's spread act of kindness without limits to our brothers and sisters the Syrians,” hoped Said.
