ACTNews, SOUTH TANGERANG CITY – That day residents of Ciputat, South Tangerang City, Banten, were joyfully celebrating the Independence Day of Indonesia. On Tuesday (8/17/2021), Aksi Cepat Tanggap carried out Free Meal Operation by distributing 300 portions of meal packages to daily workers including peddlers and public transport drivers.

ACT also deployed their Humanity Food Truck to support the Free Meal Operation. Coordinator of ACT’s Humanity Food Truck, Ryan Andriana Rachman explained that meal distribution during the Independence Day of Indonesia was ACT’s effort to assist impoverished people. “Hopefully, this program will increase the enthusiasm and optimism of the beneficiaries, that many people in this country still want to help each other,” he said.

Ryan added that the momentum of the 76th Independence Day of Indonesia is an effort to implement mutual solidarity in an emergency. He also hopes that this solidarity will stimulate people to help each other, such as through the other Humanity Food Truck actions.[]
