ACTNews, BEKASI – The actor as well as Super Volunteer Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Fauzi Baadila encourages people to take part in the Palestinian issue. According to him, support can be expressed through solidarity since it will be very meaningful for the Palestinians who are struggling to fight for colonialism.

“What we can do to help them, one of which is through donation. It doesn’t necessarily have to be money, it can be through pieces of information, spreading awareness through our social media, and not to forget our prayer for them,” said Fauzi Baadila during the event of Humanity Talk: Reclaim Palestine, in Bangi Café Galaxy, Bekasi City, Saturday (5/29/2021).

Bang Oji, Fauzi Baadila's nickname, did not deny that there are people who are still against a large number of Indonesian public support for Palestine. However, he asked for the struggle to achieve Palestinian liberation to continue. Moreover, Indonesia's relations with Palestine are not merely a bilateral relation, but there’s also a historical record of the Palestinians' acknowledgment for Indonesian independence which can be a strong reason for Indonesia to support Palestine in achieving its independence.

Fauzi Baadila attended the Humanity Talk event as the interviewee along with the Branch Manager of ACT Bekasi Rizky Renanda, and Andi Noor Faradiba from the International Humanitarian Committee for Palestine Liberation (KKIPP). In addition to sharing experiences of carrying out humanitarian missions on the land of Syam as well as sharing the latest information in Palestine, there was also a fundraising session for Palestine during the event. Attended by benefactors and partners of ACT Bekasi, the best donations were collected for Palestine.

“We are here trying to gather and facilitate the public's concerns, especially those in Bekasi City. It turned out that through this event it was proven that the support is real and received enthusiasm from the community,“ said Rizky Renanda.

The collected funds will be used for various humanitarian programs of ACT in Palestine. Through support from the Gaza Branch Office, ACT will optimize the generosity of the Indonesian people to fulfill the needs of the Palestinians. "These funds will be used to carry out humanitarian programs in Palestine, ranging from medical, food fulfillment to housing assistance," added Rizky.[]
