ACTNews, JAKARTA – Earthquake that shook Lombok several times since July 29 2018 crippled the island. Based on data released by National Disaster Mitigation Board (BNPB), by Monday (8/13), the earthquake had killed 436 people. Meanwhile, economic loss was approximately more than IDR 5,04 trillion. This disaster had gained attention from individuals, authorities, and other institutions.
Assistance has been offered, helping hands are extended, for the grieving victims. That was what FeMale Radio did. As a caring gesture, this radio, friend of women aged 25-39 year-old, teamed with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) in raising funds for Lombok earthquake victims.
“We’re teaming up with ACT because many people already know ACT as a humanitarian agency and believe in ACT,” said Gita Abimanju, Chief Operation Officer (COO) FeMale Radio, Tuesday (14/8).
According to Gita, this fundraising also aims at inviting FeMale Radio listeners and Indonesian people to care about the fate of our brothers and sisters in this nation. “Our goal is to help lift ease their burden,” said Gita.
Collaboration between FeMale Radio and ACT would continue for the next two weeks. Additionally, Gita also hoped this fundraising would be known by more people, so more hands could come to help.
“FeMale Radio hopes, more Indonesian women are moved, and invite their family, friends, and their relatives, to act and help our grieving brothers and sisters in Lombok,” Gita closed.
Since 22th May, 29 years ago, FeMale Radio have been committed in creating programs with Indonesian women to make a better future.
