ACTNews, JAKARTA – Global Wakaf-ACT launched a waqf platform through Wakaftunai.id. Through this digital platform, everyone who wants to do Waqf can directly choose the best program they want to run.

These kindness projects also vary, ranging from empowering small traders to providing clean water to people in need. These programs have already attracted the interest of Generous Friends even though they have only been launched for a few days.

What are the programs that get the most attention? The following is a list of programs at Wakaftunai.id that has received quite a lot of attention from Generous Friends. Perhaps, Generous Friends also want to participate in one of these programs.

  1. Waqf for MSME

The pandemic has had an impact on the economy of Indonesia, especially the MSMEs. Based on data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, 9 out of 10 MSMEs experienced a decline in sales. Based on the report, more than 38.4 million small and medium enterprises are on the verge of bankruptcy.

This situation inspired Global Wakaf-ACT to launch Waqf for MSMEs program to help mobilize affected MSMEs through waqf capital assistance and business monitoring. Until now, Waqf for MSMEs program has empowered as many as 4.6 thousand business actors. This effort has continued and has even become the program most supported by Generous Friends.

  1. Waqf Well

Clean water is a basic human need. However, in reality, these basic needs cannot reach the whole society. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2018 noted that 33.4 million people lacked clean water, and 99.7 million lacked access to good sanitation facilities.

Waqf Well Program is one of the efforts for those who need clean water. From 2015 until now, more than 540 thousand people in need benefited from Waqf Well program.

  1. Waqf-based Livestock Barn

Completing the food needs of the community, Global Wakaf-ACT initiated the Waqf-based Livestock Barn program. The farm, which was built from waqf funds, aims to empower the economic potential of the community, guide Indonesian breeders to be more professional, and provide quality Qurbani animals.

One example of this program is the Waqf-based Livestock Barn in Tasikmalaya, West Java. The waqf-based livestock has become a village economic generator by empowering local farmers.

  1. Lumbung Air Wakaf

If Waqf Well provides clean water for sanitation, Lumbung Air Wakaf focuses on drinking water. Lumbung Air Wakaf wants to encourage even distribution of consumption water.

Based on the data, it turns out that there are still areas in Indonesia where only one percent can access proper drinking water. Through community waqf, Global Wakaf-ACT initiated Lumbung Air Wakaf, which produces Waqf Drinking Water. From 2019 to October 2021, there are 2.1 million liters of Waqf Drinking Water distributed to the public in 11 regions.

  1. Waqf Rice Barn 

Apart from Waqf-based Livestock Barn, Global Wakaf-ACT also has Waqf Rice Barns to support the nation’s food insecurity. Global Wakaf-ACT will collect the harvest from local farmers. Then, it will be processed and packaged in Waqf Rice Barn. The rice from Waqf Rice Barn will be distributed free of charge to people in need, especially during difficult times such as natural disasters, humanitarian disasters, to the current COVID-19 pandemic.[]
