ACTNews, JAYAPURA – On Saturday (1/8/2022), the flood that occurred in Jayapura on Friday (1/7/2022) had not completely subsided. There were seven casualties from this disaster.

According to Muh Nurfuad of the ACT Emergency Response Team, Jayapura City, the flooding has not subsided because it was raining moderately on Saturday morning. "The water level remained stable at around 1.5 meters. Jayapura's Youtefa Central Market is also still underwater. All of the victims, both those who died and those who were injured as a result of the landslide, have been evacuated to the hospital," Nurfuad said.

On Friday, the ACT's Emergency Response Team distributed ready-to-eat meals to flood victims and evacuations, according to Nurfuad. On Saturday, the action continued.
