Flood-Hit Residents in Lombok Still in Needs of Emergency Aid

Apart from staple food and clothes, residents are also in dire need of clean water assistance.

ACTNews, WEST LOMBOK – Flood-hit survivors in Barat Kubur Hamlet, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency are currently still in need of staple food, sleeping mats, clothes, and infant needs assistance.

Pendy Fahturahman from ACT West Nusa Tenggara Program Tea said that the entire furniture and belongings of the survivors have been submerged by the flood. There is no food ingredients or furniture that can be reused by them.

Apart from staple food and clothes, residents are also in dire need of clean water assistance. “The available water well is filled with dirty water, so they can’t use it for consumption or fulfill their daily needs. Furthermore, apparently, the water machine has also been inundated by the flood,” said Pendy, Thursday (12/9/2021).

A total of 404 houses in Lembah Sari Village, West Lombok Village, West Nusa Tenggara have been hit by flash floods on Monday (12/6/2021). Pendy also encourages Generous Benefactors to assist the survivors in Lombok. “Dear benefactors, this is the time for us to ease their sorrow through our best donation,” Pendy said.[]
