Flood Victims at Seven Points in North Aceh Receive Emergency Assistance

ACTNews, NORTH ACEH – The Emergency Response team of Aksi Cepat Tanggap Aceh Branch delivered emergency aid to flood victims in North Aceh, Thursday (1/6//2022). Rizal Fahmi of ACT Lhokseumawe Branch said the aid was distributed at seven locations: Babul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Tutong Village, Asan AB Village, Matang Sijuk Village, Blang Nibong Village, Nga Village, Alue Toh Village, and Asan LB Village with a total of 4,262 beneficiaries.

"We have delivered the first phase of emergency aid. Alhamdulillah, the solidarity of the generous donors throughout Indonesia has been very strong. However, we still have much to do to help the victims of the flooding in North Aceh. Thousands are still displaced because the flooding has not receded. Besides food and medicine, they also urgently need clean water,” said Rizal, Thursday (1/6/2022).

Rizal continued, the team is still anticipating subsequent floods. In addition, ACT's Humanitarian Command Post at the Lhoksukon Welcome Monument is operating for 24 hours. []
