ACTNews, BANDUNG – Free Food Operation in Bandung continues. ACT visited TPQ Al-Mubarok on Jalan Babakan Ciamis, Sumur Bandung, Bandung City. The beneficiaries were volunteer Quran teachers there.
The teachers accepted this assistance very well. They thank the benefactors who have channeled their generosity. They hope that this assistance can continue to expand and be felt by other communities, especially in the city of Bandung.
Free Meal Operation is a program initiated by Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT). It launched at the beginning of Covid-19 hit Indonesia in 2020.
This program is supported by local farmers assisted by Global Waksf-ACT, who provide the best rice. Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia volunteers help to distribute this assistance.
Trisna Adi Permana, Branch Manager of ACT Bandung, said the beneficiaries of Free Food Operation were casual workers and impoverished people in Bandung. Every day, this action expands, and the number of beneficiaries increases.
“Free Meal Operation is one of ACT's efforts to overcome the impact of the pandemic, especially in the food sector," he explained.
