Food Packages Make Mosque Caretakers in Pangkalpinang Happy

ACT gave food packages for Mosque Caretakers in Pangkalpinang at the end of the year. This assistance was also intended to express gratitude for their contributions to the mosque's upkeep and growth.

ACTNews, PANGKALPINANG – Global Zakat-ACT Bangka, in collaboration with benefactors, delivered food packages to low-income families in Pangkalpinang near the end of 2021. The team distributed these food packages at the office of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in the Bangka Belitung Islands, Thursday (12/23/2021). General Chairperson of MUI Bangka Belitung, the Deeputy Director of LPPIM Bangka Belitung, and representative from MUI Pangkalpinang witnessed this event. 

Babel Zayadi Hamzah, Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), welcomed the assistance program for Mosque caretakers. He hopes that the assistance will continue and reach more people, including those in remote areas.

"These caretakers are among the pious. Hopefully, what they have done will result in abundant blessings," Zayadi Hamzah said.

Mosque caretakers were joyful and grateful when they received assistance from benefactors. Kasmino was among them. “Alhamdulillah, I am overjoyed with this food package. Hopefully, Allah will reward the benefactors for their goodness,” said a caretaker of one of Pangkalpinang's mosques.

Raffles Gordon of the ACT Bangka Program team invited donors to participate in this act of kindness.

"Benefactors can send their best alms through the Indonesia Dermawan website. Insha Allah, the money we spend will result in extraordinary blessings," Raffles stated. []
