ACTNews, BANJARMASIN - ACT South Kalimantan distributed around 6,300 masks to four Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) in South Kalimantan on Monday (23/3). The four hospitals include Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital. dr. H. M. Ansari Saleh Hospital Banjarmasin, H. Boejasin Pelaihari Hospital, and Banjarmasin Islamic Hospital.
ACT South Kalimantan Branch Manager Zainal Arifin said thousands of masks were distributed and prioritized for healthcare workers in these hospitals because they are working at the forefront in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We always help to prevent Covid-19 by providing masks. To date, many hospitals are still in need of masks, "said Zainal.
Director of Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin, Hj. Suciati, M.Kes was very grateful for the assistance. According to her, the supplies from the mask factory have been very limited to this time. "Lately, our mask supply has thinned out because of the many services in this hospital that need masks. May this aid be a blessing and useful for helping the communities, especially in Banjarmasin," Suciati hoped.
A similar statement was also conveyed by the Director of the Islamic Hospital of Banjarmasin Hj. Eva Ariyani. "We really need these masks for medical workers here because our supply is emptying. We have been looking everywhere for masks. Thanks to ACT. This kind of assistance is what we really hope for in the midst of COVID-19 outbreak," Eva said
Eva appealed to the public to remain vigilant and careful when making contact with people. "May we all be saved from this calamity," she added.
"This will be beneficial and all of our doctors and nurses work their best to provide services to the community. Do not go out unless it's very important. Let’s fight Coronavirus together," added Dr. Izaak Zoelkarnain Akbar as Director of RSUD dr. H. M. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin.
