ACTNews, BANDUNG – To solve the spread of Covid-19, the Government enforces Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) which highly affects the middle-lower economic residents in Bandung City.
Responding to the difficult situation, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Bandung carried out Free Food Operation (FFO) program in two areas including Turangga Village, Lengkong District, Bandung City, and Laksanamekar Village, Padalarang District, West Bandung Regency, Wednesday (7/28/2021). The FFO program aims to assist underprivileged people affected by the PPKM by distributing free staple food.
According to Juju, a resident of RT 10, RW 07 Turangga Village, the impact of PPKM is the decline in the community's economy so that she can’t meet her family’s daily needs. Free Food Operation program from ACT helped them a lot.
“Alhamdulillah, this food assistance is very beneficial to us amid the current difficulties. Thank you so much for the assistance. Hopefully, this program can continue to be carried out,” said Juju, Wednesday (7/28/2021).
Nanang, Head of RW 01, Laksanamekar Village, expressed his gratitude for the food assistance from ACT. He added that his elderly and underprivileged residents were helped by the assistance.
“I thank ACT Bandung for their assistance to our residents, especially the elderly and impoverished residents here. Hopefully, this program can reach more underprivileged people,” said Nanang.
Irvan Apriana from ACT Bandung Program Team said that there were 200 distributed packages in the operation. The number will increase since PPKM is being extended. “Hopefully, there will be more people who want to help others in need,” he concluded.
