ACTNews, BANDUNG – The distribution of meal packages for healthcare workers during the Covid-19 pandemic continues. Through ACT’s Free Meal Operation, ACT West Java distributed hundreds of meal packages to health workers at 5 community health centers in Bandung from Thursday (10/22) to Saturday (10/24). The community health centers that received the free meals were Cimenyan Health Center, Sekeloa Health Center, Moch. Ramdhan Health Center, Cibiru Health Center, and Margaasih Health Center.
"Alhamdulillah, around 200 meal packages were given to healthcare workers and other staff members of the community health centers,” explained Husein Nurochman of ACT West Java Program Department.
The provision of food aid is a form of support for healthcare workers that are dealing with the ever-increasing Covid-19 cases. The Bandung City Covid-19 Information Center reported that the city is currently an orange zone with a total of 1,900 confirmed cases, as of Monday (10/26).
Diana from the Sekeloa Health Center was grateful for the meal distribution. “Thank you so much for themeal packages for the healthcare workers at the Sekeloa Community Health Center. It is very useful for us as health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. May Allah reward ACT and its donors for their kindness,” she prayed.
The Free Meal Operation involved local catering businesses in providing the meal packages. "This program not only helps health workers, but also support local business owners,” explained Husein.
